About Coated Alumina Zirconia

AZ25 is an electro-fused alumina zirconia grain, produced by fusing high grade alumina and zirconia at about 2000 ??? temperature in an electric arc furnace. And then by quenching, crushing and sizing to the desired grain sizes. This alumina-zirconia(25%) grain consists of the fine primary Corundum as well as ZrO2-Al2O3 eutectic crystalline. This microstructure offers the high intrinsic grain strength and high wear resistance to dulling. AZF25 is a hard, very tough and sharp abrasive material for uses in producing large grinding wheels for foundry snagging. AZS25 is a re-shaped product based on the original AZF25 material. The grain has a very blocky shape with rounded and mulled edges,it is used mainly for producing large organic grinding wheels for steel conditioning industry.
We supply this product in collaboration with Pangea International Ltd., China of whom we are exclusive agents.

The combination of a robust alumina zirconia grain and reliable resin bond ensures extended tool life while maintaining excellent cutting performance, even under demanding conditions. The products adaptability to custom size requirements and various backing materials makes it suitable for a wide array of fabrication processes.

Optimized for Heavy-Duty Performance and Safety

The closed coat design and high-speed capability (up to 80 m/s) support efficient material removal with consistent results. The products offer remarkable heat and moisture resistance, reducing wear and maintaining integrity during aggressive operations. Users benefit from low noise output and customizable cutting areas, making these abrasives a preferred choice for industrial-grade applications. The manual operating mode ensures optimal control and precision.

FAQs of Coated Alumina Zirconia:

Q: How can Coated Alumina Zirconia abrasives be used in metalworking industries?

A: These abrasives are designed for grinding and polishing a wide range of metals in metalworking, automotive, foundry, and heavy machinery industries. They deliver high efficiency for material removal, surface preparation, and finishing, even on hard alloys.

Q: What advantages does alumina zirconia grain offer over conventional abrasives?

A: Alumina zirconia grains provide a superior blend of durability and cutting efficiency. They retain their sharpness longer, resist heat buildup, and withstand tough industrial applications, resulting in longer tool life and reduced downtime.

Q: When should I choose cloth backing over paper for these abrasives?

A: Choose cloth backing for demanding applications requiring higher flexibility, durability, and resistance to tearing, especially during aggressive grinding. Paper backing is more suitable for lighter-duty tasks and when a smoother finish is desired.

Q: Where are these Coated Alumina Zirconia abrasives commonly applied?

A: They are widely used in automotive manufacturing, metal fabrication, foundries, and heavy machinery workshops across industrial settings that require precision grinding, deburring, and finishing.

Q: What is the process to order custom sizes or grit ranges?

A: Contact the manufacturer or supplier in India with your dimension, grit, and specification requirements. The product can be tailored in length, width, thickness, grit, and diameter to match your unique industrial needs.

Q: How should these abrasives be stored to maximize their shelf life?

A: Store in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight and moisture. Proper storage maintains their performance characteristics, ensuring up to 24 months of shelf life.

Q: What key benefits do these abrasives offer for industrial users?

A: Benefits include high durability, excellent grain retention, low operational noise, customization to application requirements, and reliable performance under high heat and moisturemaking them ideal for heavy-duty, manual fabrication tasks.
