About Bonded Abrasives Alumina Zirconia

AZ40 is true eutectic zirconia-aluminum oxide grain, produced by a unique process. Which involves the fusion of high grade alumina and zirconia at about 2000 temperature in an electric arc furnace. The molten products is cooled down rapidly on special cooling aggregates in order to create tiny crystal size and the extremely fine crystalline microstructure. This structure offers the high intrinsic grain strength and high resistance to dulling. Our AZ40 is one of the most durable materials in the abrasive industry, outperforming other abrasives like brown fused aluminum oxide and silicon carbide.
We supply this product in collaboration with Pangea International Ltd., China of whom we are exclusive agents.

Versatile Shape and Bond Variants

Choose from discs, wheels, cylinders, and segments, each tailored for diverse industrial tasks. Vitrified and resin bonds are available, allowing users to select abrasives based on the jobs mechanical demands and heat generation. This flexibility ensures optimal performance across different grinding and finishing operations.

Unmatched Durability and Performance

Engineered with alumina zirconia, these abrasives combine high wear resistance and low noise with excellent cutting efficiency. The medium to hard hardness and broad grit range make them suitable for heavy-duty and precision applications, ensuring long service life and consistent results.

FAQs of Bonded Abrasives Alumina Zirconia:

Q: How do I choose the correct shape and bond type for my application?

A: Selecting the appropriate abrasive shape and bond type depends on the specific grinding or finishing task. Discs are ideal for surface grinding, wheels suit cylindrical operations, and segments or cylinders are used for specialized machines. Vitrified bonds are preferred for precision and rigidity, while resin bonds offer better shock resistance.

Q: What industries typically use Bonded Abrasives Alumina Zirconia products?

A: These abrasives are widely used in automobile manufacturing, foundries, fabrication units, heavy engineering, and tool rooms. Their robust performance makes them suitable for industrial grinding, metalworking, tool sharpening, and surface finishing tasks.

Q: When should I select a coarse or fine grit size for my application?

A: Use coarse grit when rapid material removal or aggressive grinding is needed, such as in rough shaping or deburring. Fine grits are better suited for finishing, honing, or surface preparation tasks that require a smoother surface.

Q: Where are these abrasives manufactured and supplied from?

A: Bonded Abrasives Alumina Zirconia are manufactured, supplied, exported, and traded from India. They are available through authorized distributors and suppliers for both domestic and international markets.

Q: What is the process for safely operating these abrasives at high speeds?

A: Always follow standard safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the abrasive is mounted properly and operated below its maximum rated speed, which varies based on diameter and application. Proper machine guarding, personal protective equipment, and regular inspection are essential for safe usage.

Q: What benefits do alumina zirconia abrasives offer compared to traditional abrasives?

A: Alumina zirconia abrasives provide higher durability, excellent chemical and thermal resistance, and superior cutting efficiency compared to conventional materials, resulting in reduced frequency of wheel changes and improved productivity.
